Epson LS800 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector
The highly-anticipated, new and improved for 2022 Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 ultra short throw projector [manufacturer’s link] [available in Black] and [White at Amazon] is now available to consumers. It’s got a more modern-looking low-profile design than Epson’s previous LS500 model and can be located much nearer the wall or projection screen surface at just 3.9″ away for a 100″ diagonal image (same as the LG HU915QE which is significantly more expensive), compared to a 17″ distance which was required for the LS500!
The LS800 is the only UST projector featured on this website that utilizes 3-chip 3LCD technology instead of a single Texas Instruments DMD DLP chip, so there is no possibility of a “rainbow effect”. It runs Google’s Android TV operating system with Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in. It’s also the brightest ultra short throw projector currently on the market at 4000 ANSI lumens. Lastly, it’s got one of the lowest input lag times available from any UST projector at just 16.7ms (similar to the Optoma CinemaX D2 Smart) making it a top choice for hardcore gaming. It is NOT 3D-capable, however.
Projects up to a 150″ diagonal image. For a 100″ diagonal image, you will need to place the projector 3.9″ from the wall or projection screen surface on top of a stand, cabinet, or table that supports the 13.4″ depth of the projector and therefore extends to at least 17.3″ from the wall or projection surface. For guidance with setting up the projector, please check out this product support link.
20000 hour laser life. Integrated Yamaha audio system. HDR and HLG. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
