It features a more modern-looking low-profile design than Epson’s previous LS500 model and can also be located much nearer the wall or projection screen surface at just 3.9″ away for a 100″ diagonal image, compared to a 17″ distance which was required for the LS500!
The Epson LS800 is the only UST projector featured on this site that utilizes 3-chip 3LCD technology instead of a single Texas Instruments DMD DLP chip, so there is zero possibility of a “rainbow effect”. It runs Google’s Android TV operating system with Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in. It’s also among the brightest 4K ultra short throw projectors currently on the market at 4000 lumens. Lastly, it’s got one of the lowest input lag times available from any UST projector at just 16.7ms making it a top choice for hardcore gaming. It is NOT 3D-capable, however.
