Casiris H6 and A6 Triple-Laser 4K UST Projectors
The newer Casiris H6 triple-laser ultra short throw projector [YouTube video] [buy at Amazon] pictured above is a major upgrade to the older A6 [YouTube video] [buy at Amazon] pictured below. In addition to the significant cosmetic differences, the brightness of the H6 has been bumped up to 3000 ANSI lumens versus 2200 ANSI lumens on the A6. The H6 covers 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut compared to 107% for the A6. Latency is 30ms in Game Mode on the H6, while it’s 35ms in Low Latency Mode on the A6. While both the H6 and A6 UST projectors are 3D-capable when connected to a 3D-ready source such as 3D Blu-ray and viewed with compatible active-shutter 3D glasses, the older A6 requires the purchase of a special 3D upgrade remote control and complicated installation of a firmware upgrade to experience 3D.
Other differences… The Casiris H6 features a more powerful 2 x 15 watt speaker system versus the A6’s 2 x 10 watt audio. While they both run the same Android TV 9.0 operating system with access to the Google Play app store and Chromecast screen mirroring, the H6 features a superior CPU as well as double the storage and more RAM compared to the A6. The H6 utilizes newer WiFi 6 technology instead of WiFi 5 found on the A6. Lastly, the larger and heavier Casiris H6 is 25″ wide, 13.6″ deep, 6.2″ high, and weighs 22 pounds, while the smaller and lighter A6 model is 20.5″ wide, 13″ deep, 6″ high, and weighs 20.3 pounds.
Similarities… Both Casiris triple-laser 4K UST projector models feature HDR10+ high dynamic range and utilize a 0.47 DMD chip without a color wheel. Recommended screen size range is 80″ to 150″. MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) ensures that fast-moving content is super smooth and clear with minimal blurring. 60Hz refresh rate. 8-point keystone correction and electric focus.
